My a/c stopped working and I had a tech from Earl's come out and work on it last week. The 23 year old tech bypassed the pressure switches on my two stage Trane a/c unit to get my a/c working, and they charged me $320 to do the work. Upon inspection of my a/c unit later I noticed that the tech left several wires disconnected in my a/c unit, which I presume are the wires to the pressure switch he disconnected. He did not give me a quote for the pressure switch. He then quoted me $1000 for a zone controller (which is unrelated to the a/c unit) and $1500 for an a/c blower motor. The a/c blower motor was still working he just said it was getting tired. I thought the quotes provided were unreasonable so I refused the service for those two parts. I had both components replaced for $650 and the new parts work perfectly. I then set up another appointment to have Earl's come back to reconnect the wires on the a/c unit that they had left hanging and disconnected. Basically I wanted them to fix what they broke. A new tech came out and I was told by the new tech that his boss at the office said that before they would reconnect anything on my a/c unit they disconnected, it would be an additional $412 and they would not guarantee that they would not need to charge me more money. I said I would be willing to pay the $412 in addition to the $320 they already charged me if that would get the wires reconnected and be the final charge and he said that there could be additional charges on top of the $412. The $412 quote came from the manager in the office who was not at my house to see what needed to be done and who was likely upset he didn't make a $2500 sale on the zone controller and the blower motor. So basically they left me with an a/c unit with hanging wires with the pressure switches disconnected. Earl's was definitely trying to take advantage of the situation by wanting to charge me an additional $412 to repair what they had disconnected with no guarantee that there wouldn't be additional fees. Good luck in dealing with this group.

Homeowners beware. My A/C was not working. Earl's set out a technician who got my a/c to work by rigging my outdoor unit. Unbeknownst to me the tech disconnected a very important low pressure switch and left a bunch of wires disconnected and hanging loose in my a/c unit and charged me $320 bucks for the half baked repair. I paid them their money because I was happy at that time that the a/c was working. They also wanted to replace my duct zone controller, which has nothing to do with the function of the a/c unit for another $1000 and change my functioning outside blower motor for $1500 because, while it was working, they said it was getting tired. I felt $2500 was too much so I declined the work and had someone else put in a blower motor and zone controller in for $650.00 instead of $2500. BIG DIFFERENCE! When I was told by my new guy that Earl's technician rigged my outside A/C unit, I called Earl's back out to fix their rigged wiring job. When the second tech from Earl's came out he told me that his boss at the office said that he was going to charge me another $420 to "look at my wiring" even though they are the ones who messed it up in the first place. They also said that if they find anything else wrong outside it would be more $$$. I quickly understood that the "boss" Ian was upset that he didn't get to charge me $2500 dollars for the zone controller and blower motor and was going to get his money out of me another way. I decided not to get ripped off for another $420 and told the tech to leave. I'll find someone more honest to clean up their mess.

We woke up and the A/C wasn't working. I called Earl's and they were very courteous and helpful over the phone. Happily, our service tech arrived 15 min early and within an hour. He was friendly and courteous. He found the problem and did not try to sell us something we didn't need. He solved the problem and the fees were reasonable. I've used them in the past and will do so when we need them in the future. Thanks Corey. Great job.

We contacted Earl’s to inquire about a new A/C since ours was at the end of its life. We decided to replace the furnace at the same time since it was old. Everyone we dealt with from Earl’s was outstanding. The people who answer the phone were polite and courteous. The owner stopped out to answer our questions and obtain information to create a quote. He retuned with a quote and we decided to have the work done. The owner was patient with us and answered all our questions and explained what to expect. The install team was outstanding. They were polite, professional and respectful of our property. They cleaned up and after they left you would never know that a lot of work just took place. You can tell that care was taken by looking at the finished install. I highly recommend Earl’s!

Amazing job done by their Tech and explained our HVAC situation very thoroughly. My AC is now cold and my house was no longer a sauna. Could not tell you a better HVAC company around!
